Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Developed over 20 years ago, Counter-Strike has proven to be one of the most iconic and enduring FPS series of all time. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the 4th and latest in the series. CS:GO pits two teams, Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, against each other in a fight to complete opposing objectives. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) expands upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 19 years ago. CS: GO features new maps, characters, weapons, and game modes, and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (dedust2, etc.). Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the latest rendition of Valve's original Counter-Strike, which released over 19 years ago, and is the most recent game to come out since Counter-Strike: Source. A multiplayer staple, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pits teams against each other as they attempt to dominate elaborate maps with more guns than you could fit into an armoury. In a very recent update, Valve pushed CS:GO into the Free-to-Play market and even added a Battle Royale mode. All you need is a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600/AMD Phenom X3 8750 and a DX9 compatible GPU. It's also one of the best FPS games on PC.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the latest rendition of Valve's original Counter-Strike, which released over 19 years ago, and is the most recent game to come out since Counter-Strike: Source. It even features some remakes of classic levels like de_dust2 and others. Perhaps the biggest change to the entire franchise occurred fairly recently with the addition of a Battle Royale mode, as well as making the entire title free-to-play. So whether you're an elite AWPer or just someone looking to be the last one standing, CS:GO is sure to have something for you. The classic terrorist vs counter-terrorist mode is still alive and well with a stacked Esports scene to keep the excitement levels high.
CS:GO is one of those games that only has one set of requirements listed on its Steam page. Whether you're just warming up with Gun Game or you're trying to pull off the 1v5 clutch with your trusty Deagle, you are going to need a computer that meets these system requirements. The overall install size for CS:GO is about 15 GB and you only need 2 GB of RAM. Unfortunately there is not a specific model listed for graphics requirements, but you will still need at least a 256 MB card that supports Pixel Shader 3.0. Because of this vague requirement, we have set the minimum video card at the GeForce 6600 and Radeon x1300. The CPU requirements for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are fairly low compared to other shooters like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 or PUBG. Your PC only needs to have a Core 2 Duo E6600 or Phenom X3 8750 to pass the test.
When CS:GO went free-to-play the same day it introduced its version of the popular Battle Royale genre, it immediately jumped up in traffic on CanYouRUNIt.com. It still wasn't close to the powerhouses of Fortnite and PUBG, but it is right up there with Apex Legends and surpassed Black Ops 4 and Battlefield 5. So now it's time to take the CS:GO system requirements test and begin your journey to the top of the leaderboards.
Update on Majors and Coaching

Majors
When we announced the Rio Major, we were excited to bring a CS:GO Major to one of Counter-Strike's most passionate fan bases. At the time, we couldn't have imagined the global challenges that have limited live events throughout 2020.
We're not going to ask players and fans to risk their health in order to attend a Major while the pandemic still poses a threat to travelers. Therefore, we have made the painful decision to cancel the November Major.

So, what's the plan? First, we're going to hold off on scheduling Majors until, at a minimum, Regional Major Ranking (RMR) LAN events are safe to hold around the world. Until then, we expect to continue to hold online RMR events to keep track of the best teams in each region.
Coaching
Recently we've been made aware that several coaches of professional CS:GO teams exploited a bug in the game in order to gain an advantage over their opponents. It is unfortunate and frustrating that we did not respond to this bug sooner. But bugs are the reality of software—and until they are resolved, we need to be able to trust players and coaches.
We won't spend much time here reiterating our stance on the importance of integrity in CS:GO matches. At a minimum, we expect that players and coaches will play by the rules, and immediately pause the match and alert tournament admins if they know of an issue that may give them (or an opponent) an unfair advantage.

Any teams that were disqualified for exploiting this bug during an RMR event will have their RMR points reset.
As for taking action against individual coaches, we're going to wait until we get a complete picture of the extent of the bug abuse and the punishments handed down by third parties. Regardless of those penalties, mid-match coaching will always be a tempting opportunity for some teams to violate the integrity of the match. So we may also consider limitations to coaching.
